Achieving a flawless makeup base is easier than you think, as long as you have the right products, ingredients, and techniques!
One of the key steps I recommend to all my clients is proper exfoliation. About a week before your appointment, start by deeply exfoliating your skin. This helps to minimise the appearance of pimples and blackheads. Then, lightly exfoliate the day before your appointment. I suggest using an exfoliator with either lactic acid to brighten the skin or salicylic acid to gently remove dead skin cells, without compromising your skin’s barrier.
Moisturising is equally essential, especially after exfoliating, as your skin can become dry and needs hydration. I always recommend choosing a moisturiser suited to your skin type, even for those with oily skin! Skipping this step can actually lead to more oil production, and your makeup may not last as long.
