Q. Brief introduction about your journey into starting an agency?

As a copywriter and brand voice strategist, my background lies in telling stories the old fashioned way: through PR techniques that must intrigue the audience to win your place, otherwise they won’t hear from you at all. I studied both Marketing and Public Relations in university, then was mentored by a public relations expert and agency-side marketing director, picking up on both Marketing and PR. I became obsessed with the words we chose, used and repeated for each brand — because these phrases could be the difference between a top-of-mind brand and one that can’t break through.

Q. What inspired you to pursue a career in copywriting?

Pairing my marketing degree with public relations expertise, I turned my attention to copywriting. Through my copy studio Lovenote, I develop strategically creative brand voices by strategising the language, words and phrases that draw the right people in — focusing on both consumer and brand. Working with clients across beauty, wellness, fashion and lifestyle, I help founders and marketers find the right words to say, so that sharing the brand's story becomes effortless, creative and always consistent.
